Boycott Update: Ford Sales Drop 9.5% In October
by Cindy Roberts TUPELO, MS (PR) merican Family Association (AFA) says its boycott of Ford Motor Company continues to be effective. Ford sales in October 2007 were 9.5% less than in October 2006. Ford sales have dropped in 18 of the last 20 months since the boycott began. AFA began the boycott in March 2006 when the company reneged on a pledge to stop supporting homosexual organizations and same-sex marriage.

Missouri. With little or no insurance and congregations of less than
25, Piedmont First Assembly of God, Greenbrier Assembly of God in
Advance and Koshkonong Assembly of God became victims of the flood
waters.

NNU Mourns The Loss Of Vice President Nampa, Idaho (NCN) It is with sadness that Northwest Nazarene University (NNU) announces the death of Vice President of University Advancement Gary Skaggs, 58. Skaggs died at a Boise medical center where he had been hospitalized since February 18, 2008. He was diagnosed with brain tumors in early January.

Over 400 Hear The Gospel In Puerta Morelos, Mexico Puerta Morelos, Mexico (NCN) In the small community of Puerta Morelos, Mexico, less than 20 miles from Cancun, three groups merged to do integrated ministry. The teams consisted of a Jesus Film Harvest Partners (JFHP) church planting team led by Chuck Watson, a JFHP ministry team led by Pittsburgh District Superintendent Stephen Dillman, and a Maxima Mission ministry team led by Mexico East District Superintendent Rosaraio Vasquez and District Coordinator of Evangelism Jorge Mex.

In what is called “The Zurich Statement,” the Religious Liberty Partnership (RLP), with member organizations that include Open Doors International, Christian Solidarity Worldwide, the Voice of the Martyrs (Canada), and the Religious Liberty Commission of World Evangelical Alliance, have called the worldwide Christian community to pray for China during this Summer Olympics year.

Obama’s membership in Chicago’s Trinity United Church of Christ may not actually tell us much about what Obama believes personally. Charges of guilt-by-association miss the mark and expose general ignorance about Protestant liberalism and mainline black churches. Concerned voters should instead focus on Obama’s economic policies, which are troubling enough.
